Fresh Pixel Art Features Served Straight to your Inbox!
Issue 1 | Issue 2
Hello everyone and welcome to the second issue of Pixelicious, where you can get you're latest fresh serving of super awesome Pixel Art! Remember, if you have something you'd like added to an issue, such as a promotion for a Pixel Art contest or something to do with a Pixel art group, please note ClefairyKid with the necessary information so it can be added to the next issue.
This week the featured artist is a Pixeller that I've only discovered recently but already is one of my favourites, with their unique and contemporary style and fun, playful designs, they are certainly one to watch. One of the things that stands out the most about their style is the vibrant colours used and the smooth lines that bring the movement of hair, clothes and expressions together as one. It's a style that the artist has worked to develop and will continue to develop, which will be exciting for us to watch.
by wangqr - This is a lovely tutorial for explaining a basic blink animation using Photoshop's animation window. Be sure to read carefully in order to get an understanding of the tool, and you might find it helps you to animate other things using the same or similar methods.
Pixels-Unlimited is hosting their very first contest, as a celebration of reaching 500 members! The theme is "Autumn" and finishes on the 1st of October. If you are interested in joining, you can find all the details here.
Remember, if there is anything you'd like to see in a future issue, send a note to ClefairyKid with the title "Pixelicious"!
