An entry made for *aoao2 and *lieveheersbeestje's Rose Editing Contest. I chose this rose



from the stock available, and used a combination of my editing experience and hand painting with a tablet to achieve this effect... I'm not really into "edits" unless it's to improve something as a photo, I prefer creative edits that actually become "manipulation" of the subject into a new piece, and since we were restricted by not being able to use outside stock, this is what I came up with.

Bokeh is made by me, no textures used aside from what was in the original photo to start with..

I'm not sure I like it, so please don't go critiquing the heck out of it, I appreciate the thought, but I'm also getting used to working with a whole new setup and perhaps my brain isn't the best place for working on this. I'll need to come back to it later with a fresh look to improve it...

Tools: CS4, wacom intuos4 medium tablet

Well it shouldn't be! I haven't given anyone permission to post this outside of dA, it would be a great help to me if you could link me to the other places you have seen this so I can have it removed (again) lol

if i run across this again I most certainly will but I tend to just skim thru sites and many images, keeps me calm, a therapy of sorts till I can get over this depression crap which is wasting my time. I see so many, that's why I noticed. I guess from your point of view it is worth the effort to get it done. Me, I rather go back to sleep! heehe!
