Seriously this was a motto in my graphic design classes with my friend. We would say this almost every day at the end of class, since it was just a backup it didnt matter. We never corrupted our files....we just lost the drives.

I've corrupted a drive like this. Even if you have nothing open, sometimes there are things accessing it in the background. Since that day, I always remove my drives "safely".

If you use your drives for simple shit, then yeah, it's not really an issue. But I've got an important, complicated network of shit and you've really got to be careful.

Thanks to this, I started removing all my drives safely. lol :D

Back then, I used to take my memory card out of my phone forcefully, but now that I've seen this, I got better at removing my cards and drives. :D Good work!

May I use this on my profile?

I agree, this stamp is totally awesome. ;D

Lol, so very true. XD My mother gets on me all the time for doing this with my flashdrives. And forces me to remove her flashdrives safely or don't remove them at all.
;w; But I had a pc that wouldn't ever remove them safely. So that's why I don't remove it safely.
But anyway, this is an awesome stamp. =D

We didn't have USBs when I was in primary school, and in high school they never mentioned anything about it, so I've spent most of my life never realising you could or should haha I've never seen it do harm, so I just make sure I'm not mid save before I pull it out...
And thanks : )

Haha I just never knew, pretty sure it won't do anything unless you were like mid-save, and that would be a silly thing to do in the first place XP

Well I've only just turned 20 so it wasn't that long ago... technology is just moving really fast I think. I also remember not having a computer in the house, and what our first one was like haha x-x

That's pretty funny. And also, I don't think it'll hurt anything as long as your CPU isn't currently moving or altering a file at the time.

Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen a USB lose any data from being pulled out... only from being snapped in half or dropped in water lol

DITTO. XD My Dad is always like, "Unplug it safely! Geez!" Then I normally say, "So what? My computer is awesome. It doesn't care about safety!" XD But then he mumbles about how my stuff doesn't last as long as his... SO WAHT?! I'm still a kid/teen! XD

Anyway! Great stamp! XD (I use the 'XD' too much... ^^;)

Many people choose to click the little icon in the computer's "Tray" or bar at the bottom of the screen to "eject USB device safely" before physically pulling out the USB stick, and some people get really freaked out if you don't bother to do that first. Personally though, I have never seen damage of any kind occur by simply pulling out a USB without clicking this button first, and hence some people have the view that it's easier to simply pull it out and get on with life without wasting time clicking the remove button :P
