Edit// It's not a horse omg, how many times do I have to say this about my stuff? D: :lmao: I don't see anything horse like about a cake or a bottle of water XD

For a pixelling activity at The Quilting Bee, I already did one but I wanted something better, so I've tried really hard to improve on things I'm not normally good at and I'm fairly ok with the outcome :aww:

Since I'm confident in dithering and texturing, it was the icing that was the biggest difficulty for me, so I tried a new way inspired by =firstfear and the way she makes wonderfully smooth shading for everything, and this is much improved over my usually crumbly looking icing :lmao:

Also, the star was a challenge in pixelling something on an angle like that, again something I'm rather hopeless at and even after studying *angelishi's stars I think I've really struggled to show it on an angle properly. I spent ages tweaking it but I've had enough of trying to move each arm of the star and having the whole thing become entirely unrecognisable :faint: :lmao: Hers is much more round and cutesy but I couldn't seem to handle something round and something on an angle at the same time :lmao:

Oh and, my first time doing a drip animation too! I took inspiration from `stuck-in-suburbia's pixel fade out technique since I realised to make the loop smooth whilst also maintaining transparency, it was going to need to fade out differently than I usually do.

In fact, I think the thing I'm least satisfied with are the rainbow sprinkles, but it looked too bare without them, and mini mnms looked like squares at this size XD I also think it'd be nicer if I could add a 1px edge in white but we have to stay inside 40x40, so hard! :faint: But I think it's good for learning to make the most of each pixel too :aww:

Hehe, I don't make rainbow cake much, as I'm not much of a cook at all and they take a lot of work, but lately I have had some ideas for something new, if I get a spare minute to try it ^^

Yeahh time is definitely not on my side either XD I have so many things to do and there just isn't enough hours in the day ;n;

Yeah, the other day I nearly burnt my hand because instead of microwaving some chicken for a snack, I was so busy in my mind that I put in the settings for when I cook pizza, so it had slowly roasted my poor chicken to death by the time I noticed that "hey this is taking a LONG time to just zap.." OHNO. I went over and opened it right away and poked the chicken, and it was actually a nice temperature considering but very dried out, so I got the mitts and pulled it out, but then forgot that I don't normally roast the plate as well and went to pick up the whole plate with my bare hand, and managed to get a few steps from the counter before realising that it was SO HOT. I wanted to drop it but I didn't want to smash a nice plate on the floor so despite everything I held onto it until I got back to the counter and had to stick my hand under the cold tap for a bit XD But I think I just got away with it XD PHEW!
