_{These are variations of a brush I use when I need to do pixel and/or faux pixel grass in bulk or just very quickly. It's the equivalent of a dollar donation, but the tutorial for actually using it is free. Please let me know if there are any issues getting the file to work (I haven't done a downloadable brush here yet).

Examples of my work with pixel grass:

Assumes you have a program capable of using the custom brush format (I only guarantee relatively new Photoshop programs as that is all I have tested it on).

May not have identical results to those shown in the tutorial due to the random nature of the texture and the slight influence of pressure sensitivity given by using a tablet pen. Can be used without one, but may not appear identical in texture.

Use of the 2nd and 3rd brushes will render it a "faux" pixel piece as they introduce extra colours at a rate that most traditional pixel sites (e.g. PixelJoint) will not allow. If you need to create purely traditional pixel art, use only the first brush, and add in your AA areas manually.

Please note that this is not a substitute for learning to do it by hand either, you will find it quite valuable to go in and do this without the brush for smaller pieces, especially when practicing colour theory and manual anti-aliasing. I did this only after learning and practicing by doing it the old fashioned way and only use this when I need to save time and can sacrifice a little of the quality I'd get from doing it properly.

Good thing to share! I also made one for myself on photoshop, cause it seemed like wasting time doing it over and over again!
